Thunder rumbled through the atmosphere as the bright flashes of lightning ravaged the sky. From the dark, angry clouds that blocked any chance of sunlight came the rain, falling in sheets that drenched the already swelled terra firma. Another storm had come to the valley, only leaving an hour or so of sunlight beforehand. It didn't seem like the attack would end anytime soon either. Just her luck. Thorns melted into her multicolored pelt as the creature sloshed through the mud as best she could. Paws sunk a good few inches with each step that she took, the stubburn stuff sticking to her pelt and giving more weight to her figure, which made her sink further. Pausing slightly to shake her coat, which was plastered to her skin, in attempt to dislodge the extra liquid that was seeping into her fur and flesh. Damn rain She growled in her dreambox, the only sound coming from her vocals was a gnashing of her pearls. Obviously, she didn't appreaciate the the rain that pounded upon her lithe carcess, not much more than the lightning that streaked across the sky at that particular moment. It lit up the sky with bright light, a recoil of thunder soon following after. Her crania ducked involuntarily whilst eyes searched hoplessly for some sort of shelter that could shield her from such misery.

ooc: guess who found her muse?? me!! lol
bic:
Brute found himself in the midst of a raging storm, streaks of midnight purple racing across the sky, tearing through the heavens and making lake fulls of water fall from the sky. The sun was masked by thick ebonite clouds that moved slowly and loomingly above the valley, they wouldn't be leaving soon. Draco growled under his breath as he tried to no avail to make his way through the terrain without becoming mud-painted, but soon enough his entire legs and underbelly were plastered and drying, despite the torrents of rain falling onto his already soaking and cold frame. Orbs glanced about, hoping for a thick tree or rock overhang for him to retreat under, but found nothing. Not even another soul which could perhaps lead him to such a place. He dashed across a clearing quickly and into another area of trees and brush, it was only slightly drier here, and the mascu continued the steady growling under his breath. That was one of the things he hated, being soaking wet and cold at the same time with no where to stay dry.
Harks flicked about trying to capture any sound other than rumbling thunder and pounding rain, but it was difficult to filter it all out. His nose smelt something though, something other than soaking ground and leaves. Another of his kind. He'd not had that scent reach 'is muzzle in who knew how long. He stepped forward and began to dissect the scent and find that it was a femme. With renewed hope, knight stepped out into the rains, dome held high and tail in the usual alpha position, though the underside of it was sticky with mud.
His auds worked to find the place of the vix and he walked, dodging mud puddles and dashing at thundercalls, searching for the temptress, no matter the conditions of the weather. Soon his optics rested on a moving form, even through the slight fog that was moving in with the rain, and he let out a small, short note to her, letting her know of his presence.
Draco wasn't usually friendly, but he longed for company. Company of anyone really. He'd been alone so long. He was usually spiteful, sarcastic, and cruel, but he had another side that very few got to see. He hid that side well except for the occasional vixtra that won his heart, what bit of heart he had. He was a rouge ruler, had hardly any pity, but a good father, if he would have pups any time. He was a mere omega in his father's pack, he was the youngest of his litter. Though he was youngest, he was always the biggest, the bully, and for some reason his parents took a disliking to him early. His sister was the only one who associated with him, but he left as soon as he learned to hunt. And he never looked back. Not once.
He planned for a new life. He was in control now, the leader, the alpha. He'd claimed the forest in this new abode, his own harem, his realm to rule and dominate within. Sometimes he might be seen as power hungry, but he was truly not, just wishing for what he'd never had a chance at. He was going to be a somebody, someone feared and respected, someone honored and trusted, someone loved.
He sounded again and approached the damsel, his dial still high, but not in an overpowering stance, he stopped a few yards from her and his pools took her in. She too was covered in mud, but she had a strong frame and looked to be a tough she-wolf, hopefully she was as brawny as she appeared. He stood, planters together, though soaked in mud, and chest out, though partly plastered with the nasty stuff. Somehow, though in a dirty state, he still had an aura about him. He was something, that was sure. Whether he was a good something or a bad something, that could be decided later.
'Lo.
He said, dipping his crown ever slightly to the maiden, showing a tad of respect to her, though he didn't have much at the moment. Respect was earned, not given out. He waited silently for a retort through the pounding rain. Hopefully they'd leave the storm soon and head somewhere dry. For now, he was okay in the wet, he was okay.

An ugly sound of squelching reached the temptress's harks, a growling growing beneath her breath. Glancing back down to where she had lifted her paw, her imprint was quickly filled over the brim with chocolate water. Nares flared as she enxhaled forcibly, an attempt to vent her frustration upon the weather. It could only lessen her anger just a bit. Despite her wishes that the torrent of rain and dangerous flashes from the heavens would simply move on, her nightmares were granted instead. The terrible weather only worsened to give her even more grief. Rain pounded upon the earth and its inhabitants with more intensity, the deadly flashes appearing more often, the electricity crackling in the air with each strike.
Blinking her mocha pools often to rid her of the water which coated her lids, Mayla continued her journey through the terrian with difficult. Too bad that her gaze couldn't notice that the puddle she had stepped into was deeper that others, the muck below saturated beyond a day's worth of heat. Flesh and bone sunk further into the muck than usual, her front pillars completely covered in mud into it reached an inch or so above the start of her cage. Fierce growl escaped her as her first struggles commenced, a thrashing of her figure as she tried to leap forward so as to dislodge herself from her captor. But to no avail, she was stuck fast within her goey prison. A soft sigh reached her labrums as she tried once more, this time slower and more carefully. With practiced patience the creature pulled backward on one of her pillars slowly.
At first, the mud resisted to her attempt, stubbornly holding on to her beams yet as she tugged more insitently on her limb she could feel her piston gradually slip out of the muck. What had once been a variety of sorrel, raven, and alabaster fur was now completely taken over by what seemed an inch of earthen glue. Placing the freed shank in a safer area, she got to work on the other. Before too long she was free from the treachorus puddle, a sigh of relief leaving her labrums. This time when she moved, she tested the terra firma, prodding the sod before stepping. Taking another look around her surroundings, the belle found to her surprise a good sized surface of stone jutting out from the sea of mud. And, it was within leaping distance. The muscles of her back pistons bunched up before she sprung onto the stable surface, her lithe form crouching down. That was when she heard the call.
The note drifted through the thunder and rain to reach her flutes. Visage swung over towards the origin of the sound, harks erect on top her skull. Behind the veil of light fog was a four legged shadow, his species apparent. And from the tone of the call, she could confirm that the beast was male, too. Standing to her fullest hight, the damself pulled her fragma and tassel to a dominant position. Oh no, she definetly wasn't a submissive femmora. Her carcass was not stiff from anxiety, but that did not mean she wasn't on her guard. Sharp mocah chasms watched as the brute approached her, the lightening that streaked the atmosphere giving the fem better view before shadows shrouded the area once more.
It seemed that she wasn't the only one who had troubles traversing through the land, the other was coated in muck also. His tri-colored coat was painted with ebony, ivory, and smoke. The glaciers that glanced over her sienna. His bulk was that of any male, not too scrawny and not too big. Obviously he held himself in a alpha position, what with the raised cran and whip and his cage puffed out. Such a proud little being he was. As he spoke, his tones once more washed over her, the brass notes reminding her over her old alpha brute. The greeting and slight nod was awknowladge, her own small inclination given in response. Of course she had no respect for the other just yet, just as he held barely any for her.
It seems I'm not the only fool braving the storm, am I?
Her jowls had parted letting forth her own statement, pale ivories flashing as her labrums formed words. Curiousity filled her mind with question, none of them said aloud at the moment. Why was this gladiator out in such weather? Did he know of any shelter near here? Those were just a few that crossed her mind, but her tongue formed none of them aloud. She wasn't a chatty creature, unlike most minx. Yet the belle found herself inquiring the brute something, liquid tones escaping her larynx.
Do you know of anywhere that will shield us from the rain?

Mudsoaked brute listened attentively as the equally as muddy femora spoke in return to his simple greeting. It was understood that wolves could not make the same facial expressions as humans, but it was obvious to any that Draco was smirking in agreement and entertainment at the vix's first statement. Mug parted briefly, revealing rows of ivory daggers and releasing a handful of low tones to her as he took another step forward to hear her better over the hammering rain and constant thunder rolls. Another bolt of fire from the filaments above struck out, making the world in which they stood glow an eerie violet.
Aye, fools indeed to brave this storm. I still know not why I am out.
He would have laughed to himself is wolves did such things. He found that his left back pad was slowly making its way into a sinkhole of sorts and would be consumed totally by the muck if he didn't move. He stepped casually to the side, just to find the ground even softer than before. As he looked up again, the knight's optics found that she stood on a smooth grey slate and that there was no danger of sinking there. Approaching, he tilted his dial to her. He was about to ask to join her upon the sturdy canvas, but his harks intercepted another note from the fem and he paused to listen. As 'e listened, his cinnamon visionaries took in the fem's frame in greater detail, seeing that her color, though mostly coated in mud, was sienna, snow, and soot. Her pools seemed to a deep tone, but the precise color could not be made out in the poor lighting, not to mention through the curtain of fog, now growing heavy and dense, that separated them.
The forest is always safer than the field, dove.
He turned towards the closest forestline and checked it out. He'd just come through there, and it was quite a deal dryer within the shadows of the pines than it was out here in the open under the mercy of the swelling clouds and drenching sky. When the heavenly lightening struck once again, the looming trees sent an unearthly shadow into the field, and it played and danced among the overgrown blades and shoots with each ministrike of the blaze.
Savvy?
He asked as his gaze returned to the belle. He preambled towards the brushline and took a few leaps toward the woods, dodging the largest parts of mud, and glancing behind him twice or so to check that she was making it through alright, or to see if she were even following at all. He figured she would come along, any shelter was better than the none which they had in the open valley. Looking back ahead of him, the nearing forest was lit up purple again as another rocket sounded from the heavens. He found a cleared section for them to easily enter through, the brush was washed away by a small creek pouring from the forest into the valley. It was rainwater rushing off the side of the mountain, gallons of water racing and splashing through the undergrowth of the forest toward the clear hillsides of the valley. Sienna optics picked up the scenery, pupils widening to bring in maximum light. Nares flicked once or twice, just checking the surrounding areas for other creatures, friend or foe. Finding none, he lept the small stream and went into the semi-cover of the canopy of elms and birches, oaks and beeches. Haunches relaxed and the brute sat down, for the ground wasn't hardly as saturated here, and it was safer to sit than before. His dial was still held tall and his peaks pressed forward to capture each tone the gazelle let free, and his plume curled 'round his frame, though by now it was not very lovely, for it was coated and matted with mud. What a sight for sore eyes.

[darn you. now I must go revive my muse]
At his replying comment to her first spoke statement, she would have grinned, if wolves were given the ability to do so. But they weren't, so she had to settle for the amusment in her pools. It seemed that the muddy brute had been about to query her about something, the tilting of his cran a clue to her guess. But she had interrupted him before he could, if he even had intentions of doing so, and nothing could be done now. She could only move towards the edge of her stone plateform with her harks perked forwards in attempt to hear his words better as the excessive rain pounded upon the swelled earth unmercifully, the thunder taking pride in its roll of booming sound that followed after every zigzag of startling lightning. It also didn't help that that lightning came every few seconds. At his replying comment to her first spoke statement, she would have grinned, if wolves were given the ability to do so. She listened to his suggestion, her gaze flicking towards where the line of trees were.
I believe that might make sense. Too bad I hadn't let my common sense guide me earlier.
Her mocah glaciers widened a bit to try and grasp any light she could so that she may be able to study the forest that she had never really took the time to enter earlier in the hour. Yet the dark, angry clouds still blocked burning sun from shedding all of its rays down on the lifeforms below. Also, the fog that had been light before was now thick which distorted her vision. But still she could find the outline of the towering trunks and the hundreds of leaves that clung to their branches. As the purple tinted steaks adorned the heavens once more, the forest was shaded in an eiree light and a nightmarish replica was planted over the overgrown weeds and soaken mud, before they were shrouded in darkness again.
Always.
That one word was her response to his inquiry and her glaciers returned to him, as his own optics found themselves on her. Hesitantly she padded off the rock and onto the unstable loam the spread before her like a muddy sea. But it seemed easier when she followed the others footsteps exactly, or as close as she could, stepping only in areas where the other wolf had been, avoiding those he hadn't. The occasional glance that was given to see if she was still making it was noted when she would glance up to see how much farther they had left. Yet after a bit of dodging bad mud pits, the fem was able to slip through a newly created opening within the brambles, the water rushing madly around her paws as she continued to make her way through the small stream before reaching the semi-dry land. The rain still reached them despite their best attempt to lose it, the fat droplets of water sliding off the emerald leaves and onto anything below, which of course included her. She sat with her tassel curled around her, copying the other without realizing it.
Rather dreadful out there, isn't it?
Now that she had time to let herself think about it, the minx realized that she was cold. Really cold. It seemed that the liquid and mud and worked its way past her fur, freezing her bones underneath. Like you may already know, she hated this weather. The lack of sun and the torrent of chilled rain had done nothing in her favor, all it accomplished was soaking and chilling her to the bone and not to mention the thunder and lightning that put her nerves on end. Glancing back at the other, she noticed that he still held his crania high, as did she, and that her earlier study of him had been correct.
Now, what exactly would a brute like you be doing wandering around like a fool?
Of course she would ask, and she expected the same in return. Along with the asking of her god-given title, and where she might hold residence. All of it was just ordinary starters when two of the same species, yet different genders, would meet. She's seen and heard it phrased in many ways, but it all broke down to the same, simple question. Instead of cutting to the chase and eliminating those rudimentary functions, she always allowed the process to be played. Information wasn't given unless asked for, and even then it might not be told unless it was neccessary.

{ooc: well now i must keep up a good muse too! haha it's been a while since i've made such long posts with someone. people tend to get lazy. and then i don't feel like giving them five excellent paragraphs when i only get one measly one in return =] hehe}
bic:
Brujo tried to shake a bit of the liquid free from 'is frame, but to no avail, for his tresses were still locked solid with mud and irriguous with the moisture that saturated the stratosphere. Deep pools watched as the vix mimicked his own pose and behavior, most likely without even realizing that she was doing so. The thunder rolled on, and its bellowing laughter rumbled through every vibration that shook the terrain. This would be brief. He would be glad to leave these godforsaken lands and get back home where the air was crisp, immaculate, and best of all, dry.
He watched her, knowing what she would ask him before her mug even parted to reveal her pearls within. She would inquire about why he was here, of course, for it was strange for any wolf, let alone to be out, for their species was rare enough in these lands, but it was strange for a creature to be merely wandering in a aqueous valley such as the two of them were. He himself even knew not the reason he'd come. He'd just felt a pull, as if it were some kind of magnetic tug, that brought him here. Dank hustlers reached forward to absorb the minx's tones as another wail of thunder overtook the envelope, making it flutter and ripple with its demanding and powerful tones.
Well, for the same reasons as you I would suppose. Truly, I know not, 'twas as if a magnet drew me here. No matter the reason, I came. And yourself, my lady?
He asked, wondering why this fae was even in these lands. Wolves hadn't inhabited these lands for decades at the very least, not since the days of the tiny pack of wolves that was taken up by the humans in the nearby settlements. No one knew what happened to them, but it is legend that they were turned docile and worked resolutely for the humans until their last breaths escaped them.
He glanced to the valley for a mere second. Another beam of light struck the globe, rocking the ground with the laughter from the looming clouds that followed. Rain picked up it's thrashing, penetrating fully through the cover of the canopy overhead. Of course, it was worse in the field of the open-skied valley, but the forest didn't seem much better. A sudden chill jarred the knight's frame, but it was not a set in rigor, not yet. Though it would be if the two didn't flee the lands soon. The storm was merciless and only getting more furious and raging by the moment. Each droplet of water intensified the anger of the clouds, as if it wanted to release the drops but despised to see them soak into the pools of muck on the ground, as if it were jealous of the lands once it let it's water free. Lightening struck down heavily now, pounding, impelling, pummeling the terrain barbarously. Draco turned 'is gaze back from the hell-struck field and back to the dame.
An amazon such as yourself should not have to brave such a squall.
Simply put, he wondered her own reasons. It was expected, he was sure, that he would return her question. Though the vix probably had a better put together response than that which he had handed her moments ago. Foolish, he felt, for an instant for not knowing what to say. He was the king of wolves around here, if only there were other wolves to preside over, and he should make up reasons better than he had just done. But the fluster wore off in seconds and Draco was once again secure, high, and bold.

Still the chill bothered her. To her great displeasure some of the water that had poured from the heavens had gotten past her tri-colored pelt and had ran down to touch her bare flesh. When that happened her semi warm temperature lowered a fraction with each cool drop that caressed her skin. She wanted to get rid of it, somehow, someway. In attempt to shake off the water failed miserably, since it was already soaken into her or the mud was trapping it with its encasing. It was no surprise that she hated the rain. What was there to love? Like what was mention earlier, all it did was give others grief with its pounding rain, disturbing thunder and streaks of lightning, and the mud that seemed to swallow up everything up. And lets not forget the chill you get.
When the other opened his jowls to let his reply be heard her thorns perked forward towards the other. His tones slid forth into the chaos and was almost swept away with the chaos that was created by the wretched storm. Thunder roared above them, as the violent streaks of lightning split the sky, which didn't do much to help her understand his words but still, somehow, she was able to decipher his words from the shrieks and pounding that was thrown at them.
Like a magnet? My reason is not so fanciful as yours.
Thoughts ran over his answer, what a strange one that was. She'd even go as far as poetic. So he was drawn to this place, as the brute was saying. But like she had audibly mentioned, she had no fancy explantion. Basically she had no place to go and being that she had no way to find her bearings in a place that she's never been. In shorter words- she was lost. It seemed that her wandering days had finally come back to bite her, just like it had many times before.
Bones and muscles were begining to ache with the recent traveling she had been doing, not to mention the exertion from the struggles against the captivating mud. The deary days were begining to weigh her down, and this day was no better than the rest. At least she had found another of her kind, something other than the creatures that sustanied her health, in other words her prey. But despite all of this she kept herself in the stately manner that both had seemed to play.
What she had once deemed a safe place, the place where they were resting at this vary moment, turned out to become not so favorable. The canopy above had kept them safe from the sheets of bulleting water that fell from a ravaged heaven was no longer their safe haven for the penetrating rain soon found its way past the barriers and began to fall freely upon those below. They needed better shelter, that was obvious. But she had no where to go herself, being that she was a complete stranger to the realms that surrounded her. Harks flicked back in agrivation as the droplets began to attack her once more. It seemed she had let her pretense fall for a few precious moments, her exhaustion letting her stance seem to droop. But immeditely it was back. They both had things to hide, it seemed.
It seems I would have to, whether it is to my liking or not for this is the only place I can go.
There. She had answered him. Now he knew of her plight and she fully expected him to offer his own domain for a place to rest her weary bones. But she had been wrong before. It had been expected that the other would inquire of her of her calling, of her residential stature. Yet he had not asked her of these things, so she may still be wrong this time. Lids blinked to clear the h2o that had wandered down to her optics, blurring her vision as it did so.

Brute listened, peaks pressing forward, stressing and tugging to hear all the sounds that she released before they were lost forever into the madness of the atmosphere. Somehow or another, he caught them and watched as her face seemed to puzzle about his answer of a magnet. Poetic, sure, but it wasn't meat to be philosophical or abstract, it was just the only way he could describe his reason for coming here. He had none, he just came. He listened again and saw as her queenly stance faded and reappeared. Perhaps she had a past in hiding, but he was not one to pry. He rose, weary about a sinkhole to the left of the pair, and indicated it to her with his body language as he began to speak.
Now, dove, what say we get out of this forsaken place? Back to dry lands where we can clean off. Oh, don't hang the jib, lass, come along to my forest.
He took a step toward her, planning to make a dash as soon as she was ready, hopeful that she would join in the run, show her athleticism and build, as he hoped her to behold.
Of course, I be Draco. And yourself, minx?
He waited, standing at her side, for a response. Deep pools looked into 'er own pair and waited for her retort.
ooc: sorry it's so short in response to your BEAUTIFUL LONG ONE! i tried to to it quickly before i had to leave..... and for reference, hang the jib means to pout or frown

>That's alright ^.^ Good enough for me. My response will probably be the same length anyways. <
A fog was begining to filter through the trunks, its smoky screen blocking her vision of her surroundings. It seemed that it wasn't enough that it had dominated the outside valley, no, it just had to spread. The curtain was not thick though, not yet. But that didn't particularly make it any better. Now your mind could play tricks on you, try to make you believe that a one distorted outline could be an advancing enemy when it really may just be a fallen log. It could easily fool even the sharpest of minds.
Her lids had blinked once again, ridding her completely of the droplet of water that had marred her vision earlier. Gaze flicked over to the advancing wall of fog, her mind wandering slightly. Yet she was still paying attention, or at least enough to acknowladge the deliberate hints about the sinkhole nearby. Flutes stayed listening to him as he began to speak, her chasms once more returning to the baron's figure.
I couldn't deny such a generous offer, now could I? Especially when they lean to my favor.
A statement and inquiry followed next, the expected question has come at last. As he drew up next to her, eager to be off, she turned her dreambox to look at him better, her jowls parting to answer him.
Mayla
That single word escaped her vocals before she allowed her carcass to stand, her plume kept high as always. The fog it seemed was even closer now, the transparent sheet creeping closer and closer to the pair as they exchanged words. Soon the haze would be upon them; soon the rain that slipped past the canopy's barrier would intenify. They really should be going if they wished to escape the storm's wrath once more.
Well, Draco, it seems that you have yet to lead the way

He took a quick leap forward after the minx's last syllable and twisted his facade about to face her as 'e sent a few light notes her way, before fog and rain could pull between them.
Merely waiting on your word, dove.
Brute would have smiled if wolves had it possible to do such things. Of course, these creatures cannot match human behaviors, but something of the like appeared on the dark knight's visage. 'E burst quickly into a smooth lope, his planters hardly touching the ground before they sprung up again, quickly and highly carried, as if his pads themselves feared touching the waterlogged earth below them, anxious to reach the drier safety of the air once again, letting another have it's turn in the muck.
His pace picked up, eager to leave the forsaken lands behind and return home to the night-caressed, comfortable, and most importantly, dry, lands of the Forest of the Bloodthirsty. Wolves had always inhabited that forest, until a handful of years ago when humans had taken captive the dwindling population, and the species disappeared soon afterward. The breed had been forgotten in these lands until the arrival of Draco a mere week ago.
Mascu's nape twisted to turn his lamps toward the damsel. Nares flicked open, taking in her own scent and examining those which came with it, nothing to threaten, other than that of rain and muck. He made sure she was coming along before breaking into a full-fledged dash, sending his frame flying over mud pits and fallen logs, ducking under briar patches and keeping a wary eye on the horizon, checking carefully through the increasing fog, verifying that all was well and all was safe before them.
Though outlines may have appeared as foes to the fearsome soul, he nodded as he acknowledged each was no more of a threat than a protruding, jagged, stump or a hungry, sticky, briar bush. They'd soon be gone from the pouding lands and freed into a land of new hope, where they could actually walk and meet properly.

[*sigh* I'm sorry about the long wait I'm making you have. I've just had like no muse and I don't want to post a crappy response to your lovely one. I will work on it tomorrow though, even if it kills me ]
